January 18, 2012 - Vancouver, British Columbia. Mammoth Resources Corp. (TSXV: MTH) ("Mammoth" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Richard Simpson to the position of Vice President, Exploration. Mr. Simpson is a Professional Geologist with more than 20 years of exploration experience throughout Latin America. Based in Guanajuato, Mexico, Mr. Simpson will be responsible for leading Mammoth's exploration program at its recently optioned Urique Project located in the Sierra Madre Precious Metals Belt in southwestern Chihuahua State and evaluating additional prospective projects for acquisition.

Mr. Simpson is a graduate from the Université de Montréal in 1990 with a B.Sc. in Geology and is a P. Geo with l 'Ordre des Geologues du Quebec (OGQ). He has extensive qualifications gained working on grassroots, advanced project, and mine site exploration and has worked for several companies, both majors, such as Iamgold and Cambior, and juniors including Normabec, as an exploration geologist throughout South America and Mexico. This international experience has provided him with good exposure to many geological settings and mineralization processes (lateritic profiles, gold/copper porphyries, epithermal systems and skarns). Early in his career, he also worked in Northern Quebec (Abitibi), Manitoba and Nunavut on numerous VMS and precious metal projects for Noranda and Aur Resources.

Ed Farrauto commented "We are delighted that Richard has agreed to join our team to drive our exploration activities at the Urique Project as well as our search for additional prospective projects in the region. We are fortunate that a top caliber geologist such as Richard has become available to us. He is highly experienced working in Mexico and shares our enthusiasm for the promising showings already identified on the Urique Project. We welcome Richard to the Company and we look forward to a successful partnership."

Mr. Simpson has been granted 300,000 stock options, subject to shareholder approval, expected to be obtained at the Company's next annual general meeting to be held later in the first half of the year. Each stock option will be exercisable at $0.25 and will expire five years from the date of the grant.
